Following our very successful 2 day workshop during the half term break, we have booked Woodmancote Village Hall again for two more courses over the summer holidays.
For our first course, which attracted children from a number of different schools across the area, we played a number of energising and fun games to help us feel comfortable with one another. As we were a fairly small group, we decided to give the children monologues to learn and perform. We were very impressed with the dedication and memory skills of our young actors, who were able to portray their given characters with sensitivity.
The children also learnt two songs and, despite being just five of them, held the melodies with confidence.
Finally, the children worked together to create an improvised piece of theatre based on Rumplestiltskin. This was an incredible piece of teamwork which lead to an amusing modern day recount of the original tale.
